The Ministry of Education, UAE has announced that all schools and higher education institutions will remain closed for four weeks from Sunday. State news agency has tweeted regarding the early start of spring vacation for schools. The spring vacation was initially scheduled from March 29 through April 12th. Now the institutions will remain closed from March 8th through March 29th. The Ministry also tweeted that the students will attend virtual classes through its distance learning initiative. The ministry has also launched a program for sanitising educational institutions. A circular from the ministry stated that the parents should provide a conducive learning environment for the children at home and ensure that they complete all lessons.
