Talking on the sidelines of Vibrant Gujarat Summit HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) and universities in the country will be required to mentor students of 10-15 schools in their vicinity in Maths and Science.
He stressed upon the importance of the right pedagogy of both the subjects in fostering research tendencies among students and that they do not lag behind. The Government has introduced many initiatives to promote the culture of innovation by setting up innovation and incubation centers, launching IMPRINT India initiative etc.
