As per the Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal the state government shall provide free books to the students studying in class 9 to 12 in government schools. Books, school bags, stationery and uniforms were already being provided free of cost to students studying from class 1 to 8.

On recommendation of the Centre, the Haryana Government will be implementing‘ Rashtriya Shiksha Niti-2019’ in the state. NCERT books will be provided to the students of these four classes through libraries or book-banks. The passing out students will now be required to deposit books of the previous class in the library or book-banks so as to keep the books of the next class. This will serve a dual purpose of reducing the financial burden on the parents and also help in conservation of the environment.

Nuh district has been declared as a regional-district by the central government and Rs 2 crores have been sanctioned for providing free books to prevent drop-outs.
