As it is nursery admission time is very stressful for the parents and now Delhi Government has ordered 105 schools to put their general category admission process on hold due to not following the guidelines of making admission criteria public along with their points on the school website within the specified time frame. As per the directive the schools are required to comply the same Currently the process is on for around 1600 private schools for the academic year 2019-20.

DoE has uploaded the list of defaulting schools on http://www.edudel.nic.in and it is advisable for the parents to avoid such schools till further notice to save themselves of any future hassle.

  • January 7 is the last date to submit applications.
  • The first shortlisted list will be announced on Feb 4, second on Feb 21 and the admission process will close on March 31st
  • 25% seats in pre-school, pre-primary and class 1 are reserved for the economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups
  • An upper age limit for students seeking admission in nursery is less than 4 years, 5 years for kindergarten and 6 years for class 1.
