Students of all private and government schools in Delhi will be sensitized over matters of healthy eating, food safety and hygiene during morning assembly sessions, free periods etc. For this the food department of the Delhi government has collaborated with environment division which runs about 2080 ECO clubs. These clubs have over 1900 schools and 200 colleges which propagate awareness among students on environment issues. A specially designed yellow book will make students aware on the importance of safe and nutritious food.

As per a senior official the purpose behind this to enlighten the children on food hygiene. An online link has also been made by the department bearing all the information on food safety. The teachers too will educate parents during the PTMs.
