Union cabinet has given its approval for signing MoU between India and Afghanistan on cooperation in Human Development. This would enable both countries students and faculty to register and use SWAYAM – an open online courses platform offering 2000 courses ranging from class 9 till Post Graduation and also for lifelong learning.
Courses developed in Afghanistan too can be uploaded on SWAYAM. MHRD – India to impart training to students and faculty from Afghanistan and also provide access and share the technology of National Digital Library of India, Virtual Labs and spoken Tutorials.
Joint Master Degree Programme between Indian and Afghanistan Universities/Institutions is under consideration. Ministry of Higher Education Afghanistan will be assisted by MHRD in curriculum Development and capacity development of the teaching staff. Mutual recognition of academic qualifications will promote foreign students under Study in India program.
