Under the new part-time, home-based and virtual schooling scheme introduced by KHDA, 16 year old Varun Nayanar from GEMS Modern Academy has become the youngest under 19 double-centurion in Kerala during the Cooch Behar Trophy match against Saurashtra. His success can be attributed to heavy practice sessions and supportive as well as a motivating school. He is awaiting his approval from KHDA to be enrolled into the Rahhal project.

Project Rahhal has become very popular amongst students who miss a number of school months consecutively while competing in international tournaments. Not just sports, children interested in pursuing other professions are also opting for Rahhal. The KHDA has also issued a licence to the UAE’s first virtual school, which is now accepting students.
