CBSE has launched ‘Tamanna’ wherein students of classes 11 and 12 will be aided in deciding upon their career choices through an aptitude test. This test has been developed by the board in association with the NCERT and has been sent to all its affiliated schools. This will be a voluntary test and will only assess the student’s strengths. Guidelines to evaluate the students on various parameters have also been shared with the schools.
CBSE’s note to all the schools clearly states that students, teachers and parents must be aware that the aptitude test only provides an insight to a child’s strength, is to be taken voluntarily by interested students and should not be used to impose any particular subject on the student.
