The candidate registration fee of $750 (Dh 630) has been scrapped with effect from the upcoming November 2019 exams by the International Baccalaureate (IB). The cost of assessment has been revised to make it more affordable for students and schools so that they can take additional exams or can pursue a full diploma programme. This was announced by Dr Siva Kumari, director-general of IB at a global conference. Although the IB was founded in 1968 but the first school that adopted IB curriculum in UAE was in 1992.
