CBSE’s recent proposal to conduct practical examinations for class 10 and 12 students at schools other than they are studying in has not gone down well with some of the schools. They have also submitted a memorandum in this respect to the board. While the schools are supporting the initiatives by the board in general but this proposal of conducting practical examination externally is not acceptable as it may put the students in great misery since they are used to the arrangements of chemicals, equipment etc of their school’s lab. External examiner can conduct the exam but at one’s own school and yet maintain sanctity and secrecy.
