NCERT shall soon start reviewing the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
The council has begun the preliminary work of review the last NCF published in 2005. A committee will be formed soon to undertake the task. The focus to shift from teachers to students for learning without the burden and from rote to experiential learning. The council has received around one lakh suggestions from stakeholders including students, teachers, parents, etc. A pilot run has been conducted in Tripura and 31000 teachers were trained over a period of 3-4 months. Such training programs will be planned for 42 lakh government elementary school teachers by December 2019.
