CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) has made some amendments in the examination pattern for ICSE (Indian School Certificate Examination-class 10) and ISC (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination-class 12):
Compartmental Examination
- ICSE and ISC compartmental examination will be conducted by CISCE
Candidates can appear for one compartmental exam a year
Exam will be held in July and the result will be declared in August
Changes in Exam Pattern
2021 will see some new subject being included in the curriculum. Also, with the change in syllabus, the question paper of Class 10 and 9 will align the curriculum of Class 6 and 8.
ICSE– The students will have a choice to study either history civics and geography or history civics and geography (Thailand).
ISC- Hospitality management and legal studies will be added to the curriculum.
English Literature
Study of Shakespearean play, prose (short stories) and poetry in English Literature will be mandatory for both ICSE and ISC classes.
