Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) has reframed the policy of clearing the third language offered in class 8 to be eligible for writing the class 10 exam in accordance with CBSE. Students who have failed to clear the third language in class 8, although will be promoted in class 9 but shall have to appear in a compartment exam. Those who are still not able to clear the same in class 9, will be given another opportunity in class 10 before the boards as clearing the third language before the class 10 boards is now been made mandatory. As per the DoE the move will largely affect the students of government schools as compared to those of private schools.
