The Governing council of the Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Vedavidya Pratishthan (MSRVP), a fully funded autonomous body under HRD ministry has been approved to set up a Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB). This will be India’s first national school board for Vedic education.

The Board’s bylaws will now be prepared by the governing council. The purpose is to standardise Vedic education and will be able to draft syllabus, conduct examinations and issue certificates. Traditional pathshalas will be affiliated with BSB. It will also evolve new kinds of schools that would offer a blend of Vedic and modern education.

Once established, institutions like Acharyakulam, Vidya Bharti Schools and gurukuls will be able to sustain their model of education upto class XII which is not permissible by CBSE.
