GEMS Jumeirah Primary School in Dubai came up with a unique idea to honor Emirati astronaut Hazza AlMansoori journey to the International Space Station (ISS). Students are reading all the news articles and watching videos from MBRSC to keep themselves informed of his progress in Russia prior to the mission.

What is worth mentioning is that students of year 1 used recyclable junk materials to create rockets and moon stones and asteroids were made by using ModRoc. Students of year 2 have researched in detail Hazzaa’s mission patch and what each part represents. A competition among children is also being run to where they shall be creating their own mission and patches. The winners will be sent to UAE Astronaut programme and a certificate will also be awarded.
