Post the horrific incident of a pool car ferrying primary school children falling into a water filled ditch near Kamdebpur in Hooghly district, Partha Chatterjee, West Bengal Education Minister, said that the government will soon be asking all the state, state-aided and private schools to follow certain guidelines in respect with the use of pool cars. It would be the responsibility of the school to ensure the condition of each school pool car as well as the compliance of the safety measures like updated CF (Comprehensive fitness) certificate and insurance by them. Any school found violating the above will be penalised.
