18 year old Bhavya Shah, a visually impaired student of science stream from SVPV Vidayalaya in Kandivli shall type his class XII board answers using a computer. This child of determination scored 97% in his class X CBSE boards. He was also a part of the winning team at the World Schools Debating Championship 2019 in Bangkok.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has permitted him to use computers to write the exams. A reader shall read out the question paper to him and he shall type out his answers. What’s more, a software that shall read out the answers typed by him has also been installed in the computer. This has been done keeping in mind that he will not be able to see what the writer is writing as it is possible that the writer may make a mistake while writing even if he had dictated the right answer.

He wants to pursue computer science and mathematics along with chemistry and communications. He has appeared for engineering entrance exams and has also secured admission at a premier university in the USA.
