DU’s admission’s committee has mapped different state board subjects having a contrasting phraseology but a similar syllabus to that prescribed by NCERT and CBSE with those listed as acceptable by Delhi University. Students can submit an equivalence certificate from their board to apply for admission. For example, it is biochemistry in Jammu and Kashmir board but the syllabus is similar to biology.
Initially other boards students had to face a 2.5% deduction in marks if the subject of their choice fell under the category of vocational subjects but not so from this year.
