An Indian Student, Sainath Manikandan, has built a Marine Robot Cleaner (MBot Cleaner) to preserve the marine environment and also an Agriculture Robot (Agribot) which will considerably reduce the labour of the farmers especially working under extremely hot conditions.
Remotely operated by radio control this boat shaped MBot runs on two motors and removes the waste floating on the surface of the water body. Popsicle sticks are attached to a wheel and to the third motor which pushes the waste into the storage basket.
Agribot and drones use solar energy to assist in the seed planting process. It can perform all the elementary functions of farming like ploughing the field, sowing and covering the seed with soil.
