Speaking during the Helen Keller Awards 2018, Shri Satyapal Singh, Minister of State for HRD, has given directions to all schools that government will reimburse the expenditure by children with disabilities on books, uniform and transport. He also said that the girl child will be given Rs 200 per month. He was concerned that out of 12 million differently abled children only one percent to to schools. From this academic session there will be minimum 5 percent admission in all educational institute. Protecting the rights of specially challenged people is a important for the government.
