After announcing the postponement of the remaining of class 10 and 12 board exams CBSE is yet to come out with any statement regarding the students studying in classes 1 to 9 and 11. However, many state boards have declared that the students of classes 1 to 9 and class 11will be promoted to the next grade without any exam. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan have announced promoting students from class 1 to 8 without them taking final exams.
As per a CSSE spokesperson, the board only conducts class 10 and 12 examinations and is not responsible for examination and promotion to other classes. However, their decision will depend on the Directorate of Education’s (DoE) decision.
