When the government in UAE ordered closure of all educational institutes due to the Corona scare, the classes moved from online. The students looked forward to being in the classroom setup, meeting classmates, friends and teachers etc from the comfort of their homes. 22nd March was their first virtual school day.

The children logged in at 8AM for a one hour live call with the homeroom teacher and registered themselves as present. The teacher assigned work and uploaded the activities. The children also engaged in online discussion with classmates. The day ended for the students at 2PM.

As per a teacher at Jumeira IB school, enthusiasm, willingness, cooperation of the families and older siblings helping the younger in taking the online classes really helped.  Tech savvy parents also came forward to extend help to other students.
