Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IB (International Baccalaureate) schools have declared that they would be cancelling the exams scheduled between April 30 and May 22nd.
IB has also issued an official statement stating that May 2020 examinations scheduled between April 30 and May 22 for diploma programme and career-related programme candidates will no longer be held. It was also mentioned in the website that depending on what the student is registered for, they will be awarded a diploma or a course certificate which shall reflect the student’s standard of work. This will be based on their coursework and the established assessment expertise, rigor and quality control of the said program. A detailed FAQs was sent to the schools on March 27th. Information about the Middle Years Programme eAssessment examinations due to be held May 11- 22 was also to be provided by next week.
UAE has approximately 48 IB schools.
