CBSE has started with the online application process for the eligible scholarship scheme for single girl child. The last date to register for same is October 18th, 2019. Girl students who have cleared the 2019 class 10 board exams from a CBSE affiliated school is eligible to avail the scheme.
Applications are being invited for 2 schemes simultaneously. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child to pursue +2 studies -2019 and Renewal of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 10th pass awarded in 2018.
The eligibility criteria states that the candidate to have secured 60% and above in class 10 boards and continues their class 11 and 12 in CBSE affiliated school. The tuition fee of the school should not exceed Rs 1500 Per month and the total enhancement in tuition fee of the school in the next academic year should not exceed more than 10%.
The scheme boosts the efforts of the parents to provide higher education to their girls at the same time encouraging the meritorious. The rate of the scholarship is Rs 500 per month. A Scholarship awarded under the scheme will be paid for a maximum period of two years through ECS/NEFT. The last date of sending the hard copy for the purpose of renewal only is November 15, 2019.
