Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) is being observed from October 28th to November 2nd, 2019 by CBSE. School children will take a pledge to neither give nor accept bribe. Integrity – A way of life is the theme for VAW. This initiative by Central Vigilance Commission is to promote transparency, accountability and integrity in public life.
CBSE has suggested some activities for its affiliated schools to raise awareness about vigilance in public life. Apart from Integrity pledge the schools can organise lectures, panel discussions, debates, quiz, elocution, essay and slogan writing competition, cartoon and poster making competition on moral values, ethics, good governance practices, community outreach programs etc
The schools are required to submit a report on the celebration to CBSE via an online form.
