To enable students deal with pressures of the modern world, children of Britain would be practicing mindfulness at school. To mark the beginning the children’s mental health week, the department of education said that in their trial run until 2021 will teach students innovative techniques like mindfulness, relaxation and breathing exercises to help them regulate their emotions. Mindfulness makes brain focus on the present.

The schools have a strong commitment towards supporting children mental health and well being but do not have clear guidance towards its approach. So the trial run will be led by the Anna Freud National centre for Children and families in collaboration with University College London. The scheme will also coincide with a new compulsory curriculum covering mental health
