The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken the initiative to set up 25 smart schools in Srinagar equipped with science labs, libraries, smart classrooms, smart boards, projectors etc. The students feel that this has made studying more fun and believe that even the private schools do not have such facilities.

This is an ambitious project of the Srinagar administration to provide the government schools in the district with the most modern facilities to aid learning.  Transformation of 25 pilot schools is underway. Entire school buildings will be refurbished and equipped with modern infrastructure and the academic structure too shall focus on improving learning outcomes.
