The CBSE is working towards a major revamp. It would be introducing major changes in the pattern on the question papers for class 10 and 12 by 2023 giving a boost to creativity, critical and analytical thinking in the students. This was mentioned by CBSE Secretary in the school education summit organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). By 2023 the question paper will be based on creative, innovative and critical thinking for class 10 and 12. He was also concerned about vocational subjects not finding many takers due to lack of employability, poor value and absence of stability in the market and the new education policy aims at closing the gap between vocational and main subjects. He opined that students can shape their career orientation when they are not burdened with content based curriculum. The system should be flexible enough to be adapted by the school curriculum and focus on activity based skill formation. He stressed upon the need to promote proper linkages and bonding among key stakeholders in the schooling system including infrastructure, teachers, parents and students.
