Addressing students during a felicitation ceremony at Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi, Delhi education Minister Manish Sisodia declared that the Delhi government school students will no longer have the pay Rs 1500 to CBSE. This came after the top scorers of the Delhi Government school apprised the minister that despite education being free till class 12 they still had to pay Rs 1500 to the board. The government would now pay the exam fee for the students. Scholarship for students who get 80% or more will be increased to Rs 2500.
Praising the efforts of the teachers he announced that over 1000 students of Delhi’s government schools scored more than 90% marks.
