Out on bail, the gang which ran a fake education board is back in action and on a much larger scale. Last December the police had busted a gang running a fake education board by the name of ‘Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi’. They issued fake degrees and illegal mark sheets of class 10 and 12 cheating more than 20,000 students across India. Some of them even bagged government jobs using fake certificates issued by them.
Acting upon a tip-off the police has once again nabbed its mastermind. The modus operandi was that two of their members ran a school in UP to scout for potential candidates and schools that were in need of recognition certificates. They would charge a small amount of Rs 2000 – 5000 for fake mark sheets and certificates for class 10 and 12. Every time their website got busted they would come up with a new portal bearing a different name.
Students and parents are advised not to fall prey to such miscreants as a UP Police person has already been dismissed from his job once it was found that his documents were fake.
