CBSE conducted exams in 213 subjects including 55 skill subjects and Physical Education saw the highest number of candidates in class 12 boards this year. As many as 7.28 lakh students had opted for Physical Education. It is an activity based subject and requires less rote learning. The marks are also a part of best of five subjects.
CBSE has said that those subjects which see a low number of students it does not suddenly discontinues the subject without enrolled students having completed the entire cycle. However, the board does reviews its subjects and makes changes.
