The government is making all efforts to uplift the education system in Srinagar. It has identified 25 government run schools in Srinagar based on various parameters like land, building availability, student and staff strength as their pilot project to improve upon the education system in the state. The entire school buildings will be refurbished and equipped with modern infrastructure. Academic structure will also be revamped for better learning outcomes. Funds have been released for the modernisation of the schools. These pilot schools will be autonomous in their functioning and shall have complete decision making powers.
