The state education minister and its chief minister held a video conference with the chief secretary of UP government, DG Police and officers of the education department to bring to attention the measures to be taken to deter cheating during the upcoming board exams.
The board exams will commence on February 18th and conclude on March 6th in the state. Class 10 exams will be held in the morning and class 12 in the afternoon. As a result of strict measures adopted last year many students dropped out of exams after appearing for the first. Last year the govt had installed CCTV cameras and voice recorders in the centers. Hyper-sensitive exam centers were identified and extra steps taken to avoid any misbehavior. As per the reports, this year the number of students registered to take the board exams has reduced as compared to last year.
