The role of parents in shaping the future of a child is unquestionable. UAE Cabinet – chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai decided to give its employees the option of flexible working hours upto three hours so that they can be a part of their children’s school activities like parents meeting, graduation and other school activities.
Through the National Programme for Happiness and Quality of Life, the Government of UAE wants to promote the value of family bonding in the community. Permitting the parents to be part of their children’s school activities will be instrumental in achieving the higher goal of preserving a cohesive society. This effort to bring balance in family and professional life of its employees would also increase their loyalty and productivity at work
