There is a lot more alumni can contribute to a school that networking. During an event at Jnana Prabodhini School in Pune, the HRD minister Prakash Javadekar made a special remark that it is not necessary to always come to the government with a begging bowl for grants instead they should ask their alumni too for aid. He also said that it is the duty of the alumni to contribute towards their educational institutes which had an important role to play shape their future.

He mentioned that lakhs of students of class III, V, VIII and X were part of the National Assessment Survey and students were found to the lagging behind intellectually per their age and the report was shared with the local MPs and district officers with instructions to fix the issues, improve infrastructure and the quality of education.

He also stated that soon the curriculum in schools will be reduced by 50% and reintroduction of exams and detention for classes’ class V and VIII and assured the students will be given a second chance if they failed in the first attempt
