The country had been waiting with bated breath for the Aadhaar verdict by the Supreme Court. We shall not get into the detail of it here but the declaration by the court that Aadhaar is not mandatory for school admissions, CBSE, NEET and UGC exams came has a big relief to the students.
If No Aadhaar then no need to be worry about admissions in school
The unique identification authority of India (UIDAI) has clarified that no child can be denied admission in schools for want of Aadhaar card after it received complaints that admissions were being denied due to lack of Adhaar card. Earlier this year a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court had issued a stay order on CBSE notification on making Aadhaar as a necessary proof for registering for NEET. The court has also ordered CBSE to upload the apex court order on its website regarding same.
