October 31st 2018, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, will be observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas i.e. National Unity day as per the directives of CBSE. It has also asked the schools to participate in the Run for Unity being organized at the state/district headquarters. CBSE has also advised the schools to conduct a pledge ceremony on that day where the children will take a pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also ensure his personal contribution towards internal security of the country.
Schools that cannot participate in the run organized at board’s headquarters to organise a school level run for unity. Not only this, the board has also asked the school the upload a report of the ceremony at the link provided in the circular not later than November 3. 2018.
