Post the success of inaugural Hindi Word for 2017, Oxford Dictionaries is inviting suggestions from Hindi speakers across the country to choose a Hindi Word or expression reflecting the mindset, mood or preoccupations for the year 2018.
‘Aadhaar’ was the chosen Hindi Word of the Year in 2017.
Suggestions can be submitted on Hindi Living Dictionaries site or via the Hindi Dictionary Facebook page between November 27 and December 9, 2018. They will be analysed by the Hindi Dictionaries team by Oxford University Press in conjunction with the advisory panel of language experts.
