It’s that time of the year when parents go through harrowing experience while seeking admission in the nursery class for their wards. The admission to nursery and KG in Delhi schools will tentatively start from December 17th or 18th this year. A child seeking admission in nursery should be less than 4 years old and less than 5 and 6 years for Kindergarten and class 1 respectively as on the cut-off date.
The Delhi Government had proposed and implemented and upper age limit for those seeking admissions in pre-primary, nursery or kindergarten in 2015. As a result many parents are preferring NCR schools as they do not have upper age limit cut off. The upper age limit criteria will come into force for private schools from 2019. They are permitted to implement the point based system as per the Delhi High Court directive.
